Experience the ultimate celebration of ranch horsemanship at our open ranch horse show! Competitors will have the opportunity to showcase their working ranch horses across a variety of classes. In the Ranch Horse in Hand class, horses are shown in halter and judged at the walk, trot, and extended trot on criteria such as correctness, balance, movement, and working conformation, with additional emphasis on manners and disposition. The Ranch Horse Pleasure class highlights a horse’s ability to be a pleasure to ride during everyday ranch tasks, focusing on a well-broke, relaxed, and responsive performance with a soft, cadenced gait on a light, flexible rein. Meanwhile, the Ranch Riding class challenges exhibitors to complete an individual pattern that demonstrates the horse’s versatility, smooth transitions, and natural head carriage, all while reflecting the true spirit of ranch work. Finally, the Ranch Trail class tests both horse and rider on a course of at least six obstacles designed to simulate everyday challenges on the ranch, with judging focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous positive flow. Join us for an exciting day that celebrates the skill, attitude, and enduring spirit of our working ranch horses!
